Job Description
POSITION TITLE:  Nursing Director of Critical Care

POSITION LOCATION:  Santa Maria, CA

POSITION SUMMARRY:
The Director of Critical Care Services has 24-hour responsibility for management and operation of the Critical Care Services unit and patient care area.   Position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
Our Critical Care Unit has 44 beds, 11 in ICU, 6 in CVICU, and 27 in Step Down.   We have an emphasis in neuro/ICU critical care treatment.  In this position you  will manage approximately 75 FTEs, primarily RNs.  In addition,  the staff includes  8 charge nurses and a secretary, plus nursing assistants.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements:  Current CA RN License, BLS & ACLS.  Also requires a minimum of 5 years acute care nursing experience, including a minimum of 3 years experience in management of a Critical Care Unit.  Desirable:  BSN degree or higher.
